Two Nerds, One Epic Hackathon Win: How We Dominated CNC Pricing 😎

Okay, so imagine this: I'm at this crazy Google hackathon at my uni, the Technical University of Munich. It's a total geekfest – top students from everywhere, all hyped to build something awesome. Everyone's forming these mega-teams, but me and my buddy Florian? We're like, "Nah, we got this." Two-person squad, rollin' deep 💪.
The judges were all 🙄 when we pitched our tiny team. Like, seriously? Could a coder and a business dude pull this off? But hey, we're scrappy. A few all-nighters and way too much caffeine later, it hit us: CNC price prediction. Florian's got the manufacturing hookup (his grandpa owns a CNC shop in Dresden), and I'm all about the algorithms. Nobody's done this before – talk about a coding challenge!

Cue the Dresden Hustle™️. We crashed at Florian's grandparents' place, interviewed a bunch of CNC companies, and scored the data we needed to make our AI model a beast. Back in Munich, it was code, code, code. Deep learning, computer vision...we made those GPUs sweat 🔥.
Big thanks to LRZ for the computing power, and mad props to Florian for his LinkedIn ninja skills – 24,000 potential customers in our pocket 🤑.
D-Day arrives, and we're soaked from the rain, laptops in hand. Florian and I crush the pitch in front of a massive crowd at Google HQ. We were the underdogs, the oddballs with the two-person crew, but we brought the heat. And you know what? WE FREAKING WON.
Cue the victory feast with Florian's grandparents – schnitzel and beer never tasted so good. Best. Day. Ever. Life got in the way, and we didn't end up turning this into a startup, but damn, did we learn a ton.

So, the moral of the story? Never underestimate a small, passionate team. Dream big, code hard, and hustle like your life depends on it. You might just shock the world (and win a sweet Google hackathon while you're at it 😉).
